La possibilità di intendere la storicità di una forma è riposta in un’estetica non normativa, che non concepisca i generi come atemporali. A partire da questa premessa epistemologica, si ripercorreranno, secondo un preciso filo conduttore, le teorie di Lukács, Benjamin e Szondi nel tentativo di tracciare le coordinate di una via europea al di là della tragedia. Nello stesso tempo l’indice storico delle loro interpretazioni verrà fatto interagire con la relazione instaurata tra le loro teorie e le loro analisi formali.

The possibility of interpreting the historicity of a form can be found in a non-normative aesthetics, that doesn’t conceive genres as timeless. Moving from this epistemological premise, the theories of Lukács, Benjamin and Szondi are going to be retraced, following a precise central idea, trying to outline the coordinates of a European way beyond tragedy. At the same time the historical indicator of their interpretations will be put into interaction with the relationship established between their theories and their formal analysis.
