La fede e la comunità cristiana sono segnate ab origine e per vocazione da un evento escatologico di de-localizzazione: Gesù da Nazareth, infatti, consuma la sua identità/missione quand’è espulso dal luogo santo dell’alleanza di Dio con Israele essendo crocifisso come il “maledetto” “fuori” dalle mura di Gerusalemme, sperimentando l’abbandono. Nell’epistolario paolino è possibile discernere le qualità specifiche che la fede cristiana esibisce in quanto nasce da e si misura su questo evento. Tre icone bibliche, in particolare, illustrano con vigore il volto intrinsecamente de-localizzato della comunità cristiana che nasce dalla fede nell’Abbandonato e da lui riceve figura e forma di vita: Ebrei 13,13, Fil 2,7, Rom 9, 1ss. E’ questo il paradosso teo-logico che ne giudica definitivamente la fedeltà alla Parola fatta carne e crocifissa.

Faith and the Christian community are by vocation marked, from the beginning, by an eschatological event of de-localization: Jesus of Nazareth, in fact, consummates his identity/mission when he is expelled from the holy place of God’s alliance with Israel being crucified and experiencing abandonment as the “cursed” one “outside” the walls of Jerusalem. In the Pauline epistolary it is possible to identify the specific qualities of the Christian faith that derive from and are measured by this event. Three biblical icons, in particular, clearly illustrate the intrinsically de-localized face of the Christian community that is born of faith in the Abandoned one and receives from Him the figure and form of life: Hebrews 13,13; Philippians 2,7; Romans 9,1ff. This is the theological paradox that definitively judges faithfulness to the Word made flesh and crucified.
