Il contributo intende indagare lo schema teologico-politico che sta alla base del progetto platonico della Kallipolis. Analizzando il legame tra sacertà e potere, si individua lo sforzo platonico di smarcarsi sia dalle soluzioni tiranniche sia da quelle democratiche, mostrando in che senso esse non siano che due sfumature che preludono entrambe alla lotta intestina che riduce l’esercizio del potere all’arbitrio della violenza.

The paper investigates the theological-political scheme that underlies the Platonic project of Kallipolis. Analysing the connection between sacertas and power, it points out the Platonic effort to distance his proposal from both tyrannical and democratic solutions. Plato shows in what sense tyranny and democracy are nothing but two nuances that both prelude to the internal struggle that reduces the exercise of power to the arbitrariness of violence.
