Abstract [Ita]
Il saggio muove dalla distinzione del cristianesimo dalla interpretazione determinata dell’evento di Gesù Cristo data dalla cristianità, di cui tutta la storia europea è profondamente impregnata. Questa distinzione consente da un lato di guardare alla crisi odierna della cristianità senza sperare in impossibili ritorni e, dall’altro, di salvaguardare per l’avvenire l’eredità preziosa e per l’’Europa irrinunciabile, dell’evento cristiano, nella sua valenza religiosa ma anche nella sua capacità di incidenza storica effettiva.
Questa capacità è affidata in particolare alla possibilità di indicare nell’idea della Trinità, come esercizio di libertà nella relazione tra le persone, il possibile esodo dell’Europa dalla cristianità, in un rinnovato ascolto del soffio dello Spirito di Gesù.
Abstract [Eng]
The essay moves from the distinction between Christianity and the interpretation determined by the event of Jesus Christ given to Christianity, with which all the history of Europe is deeply imbued. This distinction permits, on the one hand, to look upon today’s crisis of Christianity without hoping in impossible revivals and, on the other, to safeguard for the future the precious inheritance, irrevocable for Europe, of the Christian event, not only for its religious value but also for its actual historical effect. This ability is assigned, in particular, to the possibility of indicating in the idea of the Trinity, as a practice of freedom in the relationship between people, the possible exodus of Europe from Christianity, in a renewed ability to listen to the blow of the Spirit of Jesus.
