L’articolo si propone di chiarire le differenze tra le interpretazioni della dialettica hegeliana fornite da Italo Valent ed Emanuele Severino. Nel suo libro del 1995 Dire di no, Valent propone una lettura di Hegel fondata sulla nozione di Dasein come inizio reale del movimento dialettico. Nello stesso anno, Severino pubblica Tautótēs, in cui sostiene che, nell’idea hegeliana di dialettica, l’inizio del processo dialettico è un momento “noetico”, cioè un momento di “immediatezza” che non può essere completamente ricondotto allo sviluppo dello spirito. Da un lato, insistendo sull’originalità della relazione in Hegel, Valent critica i tentativi della filosofia italiana di “riformare” la dialettica; dall’altro, la critica di Severino a Hegel sembra avvicinarsi a quella di Gentile.

This article aims to clarify the differences between Italo Valent’s and Emanuele Severino’s understandings of Hegelian dialectic. In his book Dire di no (1995), Valent provides an interpretation of Hegel based on the concept of Dasein, understood as the real beginning of the dialectical movement. In the same year, Severino publishes Tautótēs, where he argues that in Hegel’s idea of dialectic the beginning of the dialectical process is a “noetic” moment, that is a moment of “immediacy” that cannot be completely reduced to the development of the spirit. On the one hand, insisting on the originality of the relation in Hegel, Valent criticizes the attempts of Italian philosophy to “reform” dialectic; on the other hand, Severino’s critique of Hegel seems close to Gentile’s.
