Prendendo le mosse dall’ipotesi che il filosofo possa essere considerato come un “gaffeur consapevole”, l’articolo riflette sulla specificità del gesto filosofico tra le prassi e i saperi umani. Di contro a una concezione “eroica” della filosofia, che la concepisce essenzialmente come scoperta e accumulazione della verità, viene valorizzata un’idea della filosofia come stile di vita filosofico, come evento della verità, come quel gesto critico, atopico e comico che sa sospendere il rapporto ideologico e utilitaristico coi saperi e poteri della città. Nel tempo presente una simile concezione della filosofia, argomenta l’autore, permetterà di smarcarsi tanto dal serioso eroismo burocratico della filosofia accademica, quanto dal tragico eroismo apocalittico della filosofia mediatizzata.

Moving from the hypothesis that the philosopher might be considered a kind of “intentional gaffeur”, this article reflects upon the specificity of the philosophical gesture between practice and human knowledge. In opposition to a “heroic” conception of philosophy, that essentially considers it as discovery and accumulation of truth, it revaluates an idea of philosophy as a (philosophical) style of life, as an event of truth, as that critical, atopic and comical gesture that can suspend the ideological and utilitarian relationship with the knowledge and the powers of the city. Today such a conception of philosophy, the author claims, will allow it to free itself from both the severe bureaucratic heroism of academic philosophy and the tragic apocalyptic heroism of media philosophy.
